Biosolids from waste water
Biosolids are nutrient-rich organic materials from treated sewage sludge. They should not be put in landfills due to their potential to generate methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Using biosolids as soil application raises concerns about contaminants, such as pathogens, PFAS, and heavy metals, which can impact human health and the environment.
Through The Oaktrees technology that destroys PFAS, the solids are turned into high-quality biochar for plants’ available phosphorus, with a great ability to hold the water against gravity forces, protecting yields from excessive drought, rain, and increased temperatures.
